Irene Gazzillo Studio

The Studio operates in the field of architecture and aims to defy the traditional boundaries of the discipline working with different mediums and scales, from buildings to temporary installations, research-based projects and limited edition objects.

Irene Gazzillo (MSc. Arch. USI AAM / SIA)

studied architecture at Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio (AAM) and Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH). After completing her diploma with honours at AAM, she worked as an architect at Valerio Olgiati in Flims and at the Cultural Foundation Origen in Riom. In 2021 she established her eponymous Studio in Basel.

Next to her practice, Irene has taught at ETH Zürich as teaching assistant of Pascal Flammer and at KIT Karlsruhe, where she is currently working as teaching and research assistant at the chair Raum und Entwerfen (R+E).
